On Tuesday, 6th February 2024, Rupert Hoogewerf, Hurun Report chairman and chief researcher, is hosting the Hurun UK Under 35s and Under30s Young Entrepreneurs to Watch Night in London.

The evening is a celebration of the top start-ups in the UK. It will be centred around the 160 outstanding young entrepreneurs from both the Under 35s list and the Under 30s list in the UK. It should be a lively evening, with up to 300 people attending from the young entrepreneurs to unicorn, gazelle and cheetah founders as well as venture capitalists and representatives from business schools.

Under 35s
The Under35s represent the very best of young entrepreneurs in the UK. Under35s have to have created or co-founded a business with a social impact and valued today around US$50mn or more. Candidates have to be aged 35 or under by 1st September this year, meaning they were born after 1st September 1987. We expect to have about 90 on this year’s Hurun UK Under35s list.

Under 30s
The Under30s represent the very best of young entrepreneurs in the UK. To qualify, Under30s must have created or co-founded a business with a social impact and valued today around US$10mn or more. Candidates must be aged 30 or under by 1st September this year, meaning they were born after 1st September 1992. We expect to have about 80 on this year’s Hurun UK Under30s list.

Format
The event will consist of a black-tie dinner starting at 6:30 pm. During the evening, we will have panel discussions and three keynote speeches. The panel discussion will feature candidates from the top startup founders of the Hurun UK Under30s & Under35s. The keynote speeches will be delivered by unicorn founders present at the event.

Mission
Hurun’s mission is to provide recognition and a platform for the best young entrepreneurs of their generation. Helping these founders grow should have a positive impact on the UK economy. The Hurun awards are the only awards that recognise entrepreneurs in the UK in these age groups. This is the second year of hosting the Hurun Young Entrepreneurs to Watch awards in the UK.
